Create your virtyou account

Just type your user data in the register form, to create your account:

Download a Opensim capable viewer

There are several good choices of Opensim viewers. We recommend the Imprudenceviewer or Meerkat.

  • Open the Gridmanager, and create a new entry with Add.
  • Nickname: virtyou
  • Loginuri: http://virtyou.com:11002/
  • Click on Get Grid Info, and all other textfields will fill automatically.
  • Save this entry with Apply. We recommend you to set virtyou as the default.

First Login

Make sure to choose a target Sim (it’s safe to choose Ninesim for example) at the first login: Open the Preferences menu (Ctrl-P), choose the General Tab and check the Show Start Location on Login Screen:

Now close the Preferences menu, by clicking OK and type Ninesim into the Start Location field:

Set a home position, as soon as you have successfully logged in.

Note: If you get a message like “It appears you are already logged in.“, don’t worry, this is a common Opensim error. Just login again, no need to wait a few minutes.


Have fun on the virtyou Grid!
