Create your virtyou account

Just type your user data in the register form, to create your account:

You have to fill in a

  • Firstname and Lastname in the Avatarname Field, exactly one Space inbetween, please.
  • A Password
  • and a valid Email Address (or else you won’t be able to activate the Account!).

All other settings are optional. If you have filled in everything right, and neither Name nor Email does yet exist at our site, the Send Button is activated and you can create your Account.

Recive your Activation Email

Under normal circumstances, you should receive your Avtivation Email within a few minutes. (Please check your Spam Folder and make sure you can receive Emails sent from “register @ virtyou.com”!)

The Activation Email contains a Link to our website, either click that from your email program, or copy the exact line into your Browser and hit return.

Allright! Your Account is now activated. Now you need the Viewer, to visit our Virtyoual World:

Download a Opensim capable viewer

All modern Viewers are supported. We recommend the Imprudenceviewer.

  • Download and install your chosen viewer.
  • Start it, wait for the Start Screen.
  • Open the Gridmanager, and create a new Grid entry with Add.

Nickname: virtyou
Loginuri:    http://login.virtyou.com/

  • Click on Get Grid Info, and all other textfields will fill automatically.
  • Save this entry with Apply. We recommend you to set virtyou as the default.

First Login

  • Type your chosen Username and Password (from the Registration Email) into the Viewer. If you are on your personal computer, you can also click “Save password”, we don’t recommend that on a public computer.
  • Click the Login Button.
  • At the first Login you might get a message like “Your home Location is not currently available.“, don’t worry, this is a common Opensim error. Just login again, no need to wait a few minutes.
  • Set a home position, as soon as you have successfully logged in.
